Post the success of Sammohanam, filmmaker Indraganti Mohan Krishna has been flooded with offers. However, the director says that he’s yet to take a call on his next project and is happy to be taking his time.
Known for experimenting with various genres of films, the director says, “I have a couple of scripts ready, but I am undecided which one to take forward. Although, I am certain that I will not repeat the genre. Since I’ve done a pure love story for the first time, I am weighing my options for my next. There are offers to direct big heroes too, but I need to have the right script to pitch it.”
Indraganti states that the success of Sammohanam signifies the growing need to experiment with different stories. “We are in an era where people have several options to choose content from, including Amazon and Netflix. So if you have to draw such an audience to the theatre, you need to come up with innovative stories. You need to create an audience who will relish such content. I am glad that Sammohanam hit the right notes,” he explains.
