Vijay Varma in Nani's MCA (Middle Class Abbayi)

Vijay reveals that director Venu got in touch with him through a mutual friend and things got rolling from there.

Vijay Varma, who made quite a buzz in the critically acclaimed Bollywood flick Pink, is now testing new waters. The actor, who started off his career as a theatre artiste in Hyderabad will make his Telugu debut with actor Nani’s upcoming film, MCA (Middle Class Abbayi), helmed by Venu Sree Raam.

Confirming the same, Vijay reveals that director Venu got in touch with him through a mutual friend and things got rolling from there. “He came to Mumbai to narrate the script, and things fell into place. I am glad to be a part of the film,” he shares, adding, “I can’t reveal much about my character, except that it’s very interesting and powerful. I have begun shooting, though.”

When quizzed if Telugu is coming easy for him as he has lived in the city for very long, the FTII graduate shares, “I don’t know Telugu very well but I am taking the time to learn my dialogues as I don’t take prompting.” The film stars Sai Pallavi as the female lead and is being produced by Dil Raju.
