Director Rajamouli recently made an official announcement about his upcoming multi-starrer film, giving it the working title RRR — derived from the initials of his own name, Rajamouli and those of the film’s leading actors, Rama Rao (Jr. NTR) and Ram Charan.
The latest is that the makers are looking to cast a leading lady whose name also begins with the same alphabet. Apparently, the likes of Rakul Preet Singh and Raashi Khanna were the first names to come up along with another actress who is also being considered.
According to a source, Rashmika Mandanna, the Kannada actress who made her debut with hit film Chalo is being approached for the Rajamouli film. “News is that the makers were searching for female leads whose names start with R. So they may consider these actresses,” says a source.
Although nothing is final yet, Rakul and Rashmika are strong contenders, adds the source.
