Actress Neha Shetty, who is making her Telugu debut with Puri Jagannadh’s directorial venture Mehbooba, says that she was lucky to be launched by the filmmaker.
“Puri has launched several new faces in Tollywood and I couldn’t have asked for a better launch pad than making my debut under his direction,” Neha shares.
Ask her what makes him a great director, and she reveals, “The best part of him is that he’s very creative and out of the box; his adaptability to various emerging trends and technologies is lightning quick. And that’s something I need to learn from him! His clarity of thought was always inspiring, he knows what exactly he wants. He’s positive and generates a lot of energy and working with him has been a great learning experience.”
In the romantic entertainer Neha is paired opposite Aakash, who happens to be Puri’s son.
“Aakash is a friendly co-star and working with him is very pleasant. It took some time to break the ice initially, but we bonded well on the sets; perhaps that’s because both of us are of the same age. We have several common interests like cars, driving, food, travelling, etc,” she shares.
