Leading Telugu production house Mythri Movie Makers are quite elated with the massive success of 'Salaar' (Chapter 1: Ceasefire') since reigning star Prabhas is drawing unprecedented crowds in Telugu states. "Mythri Movie Makers are on cloud nine since they distributed the film in the Nizam region and are quite happy to be associated with ace actor Prabhas who has become the biggest crowd puller in Telugu states," says a source and adds, "The action adventure garnered Rs 56 crores net collections and moved to the profit zone in Nizam since Mythri Movie Makers bought the film for Rs 55 crores plus. It also setting new records in Andhra Pradesh,” he adds.
Although the film drew sensational openings, some attributed it to long weekend holidays. "It made more than Rs 5 crores net collections on working day (Tuesday) so these excuses are baseless. It is a monstrous hit and set to create new box office records. Honestly, the crazy combination of Prabhas and Prashanth Neel would have always ensured great openings so holidays helped them a bit," he points out.
They are hoping that their big ticket entertainer will beat the collections of 'Bahubali 2' and 'RRR' in the Nizam region. “'Salaar collected Rs 56 crores in just five days flat and still counting. Riding on repeat audience among youth and masses, the film is set to surpass the collections of blockbuster 'Bahubali 2' which holds the record of Rs 68 crore net collection in Nizam region. "Salaar" is surely rushing towards it," he adds.
However, Mythri Movie Makers are also ambitious about crossing another history-making record of Rs 92 crores net collections established by 'RRR' starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan. "It would be a dream to come true to surpass 'RRR' collections since it is a humongous feat but they are bit hopeful since audience are thronging to theatres without a break," he points out.
Nonetheless, Mythri Movie Makers are producing a big ticket film with actor Prabhas and also are going to work with ace director Prashanth Neel for another massive entertainer. "They would be dishing out history-making hits with Prabhas and also with Prashanth Neel since they are overjoyed to be associated with such a talented actor and director in the days to come," he concludes.
