It’s the dubbed KGF that dominated over Telugu films this week. Kannada star Yash has acted in this period drama that is directed by Prashanth Neel. Yash is not a known actor in Telugu, but his film has become a big hit because of the interesting promotional videos. “The film’s collections at the box-office are very good and in most places, it is dominating over two Telugu films and is going to be a big hit,” says a trade analyst.
Sai Korrapati is the producer for the Telugu version and he is confident that this film will join the Rs 100 crore club this week. The film was released in four languages and everywhere it’s getting positive results. “If it continues to run like this, this will be the first Kannada film that will reach Rs 100 crore,” says the producer. While Yash is a big star in Kannada, he is not such a popular star here. However, other Kannada films dubbed in Telugu have met with modest success, and now KGF joins the coveted list.
