Bigg Boss Telugu has probably become more popular than the Hindi Big Boss, hosted by Salman Khan. The former concluded on Sunday, with the winner Siva Balaji receiving a cash prize of Rs 50 lakh. However, according to a source from the TV channel, all the 16 participants got fat sums for their participation in the reality show.
“The salary is decided by the grade of the actors and then between Rs 75,000 and Rs 10 lakh is fixed per week. So, even though some people come out of the house after one or two weeks, they are well paid ” says the source.
Interestingly, five people stayed in the house until the 10th week. The source also revealed that Navdeep was the highest paid celebrity and he had joined the house after four weeks as a wild card entry. So, not just the winner, but all the participants in the house earn good money. The lowest paid actor, according to the source, was critic and filmmaker Kathi Mahesh.
