Superstar Rajinikanth plays a cop in his upcoming film Darbar, which is directed by A. R. Murugudoss. It’s been a long while since Rajni has done a cop’s character, and apparently, fans can’t get enough of him in khakhi, for his pictures in the cop get up have been going viral.
Darbar, which has Nayanthara playing the leading lady, is presently at its shooting stage. The film has Mumbai as its backdrop and part of the film’s shoot is happening there. We are told that, though it is not a politically themed film, it has a message to deliver. “There is a social message in the film, but the film is not targeted at anyone,” shares a source.
Darbar is set for a Sankranti 2020 release, with the filmmakers having released a few stills from the film already.
