Director Teja enrols for WHO course
Teja is known to be a nature lover. The filmmaker has now taken his passion a step further and enrolled himself for an online course about emerging respiratory viruses with the World Health Organisation (WHO).
“I started to do a bit of research about this coronavirus and where it all started. In the process, I also learnt about a course on emerging respiratory diseases conducted by WHO. I thought this is a great opportunity for me to predict any forthcoming pandemics and act,” explains Teja. The Nene Raju Nene Mantri helmer says he has started preparing for the course. “The syllabus comprises various aspects of such epidemics, including potential risk areas, etc. We have to undergo an online test, based on which we will be given grades,” reveals Teja, adding that he is game to work as a volunteer for WHO too, if required.
“My course will help me to create awareness in the society on how to prevent such pandemics,” says the director who has been using Ayurveda medicines for the past 18 years.
“I don’t remember the last time I used English medicines. I believe in the natural way of living and I keep fasting often. I have been following home remedies to prevent coronavirus infection,” adds the filmmaker, describing the virus as a ‘man-made mistake’.
“At least now people should realise the importance of leading life without disturbing Nature so that the next generation will have something to cherish,” avers Teja.
