After a slew of inspiring performances, the actor Naveen Chandra has landed an author-backed role in Dhanush’s forthcoming film. The Andala Rakshasi star has bagged the role of the lead antagonist in the R. S. Durai Senthilkumar directorial. Naveen will be locking horns with the Vada Chennai actor in this action entertainer.
Thoroughly impressed by his performances in the NTR-starrer Aravinda Sametha and in the Nani-starrer Nenu Local, the filmmakers figured that Naveen was a good choice for the role. Besides, Naveen speaks fluent Tamil and therefore, fits the bill quite naturally.
Naveen has started shooting for his part already. “It’s a challenging role for which Naveen will have to undergo a make over. The role also certainly pushes his boundaries as an actor, too,” said a source close to the unit. Meanwhile, Naveen has a handful of films in production including 28 degrees Celsius and Hero Heroine among others.
