Saloni Misra is all set to make her debut in the forthcoming Telugu film, Falaknuma Das, directed by Vishwaksen. This movie is going to be the Telugu remake of the Malayalam film, Angamaly Diaries. Born in Punjab, Saloni recently returned to India from New Zealand, where she has studied fashion design.
“I have extensively worked as a model, and was never keen on acting. So getting into movies,” she reveals, adding, “When I was called to play the role of a doctor in the film Falaknuma Das, I believed it would be an ideal debut for me.” Saloni participated in a workshop to prepare for her part. “I was new to the language so initially, I found it quite difficult to get my lines right. It got easier over time, though, and I thoroughly understand my dialogues now. My character is a matured one and has several shades to it,” explains Saloni.
Interestingly, the actress is a trained belly dancer. “I passionate about shaking a leg and have performed belly dancing a few times. I'm hoping to get a chance to showcase this skill of mine in films, too,” Saloni quips.
