Nandamuri Balakrishna to play a farmer
The plot of Nandamuri Balakrishna’s 100th film is almost confirmed. According to a source, the actor is keen to play a typical Telugu rythu (farmer) in this landmark film.
He was impressed with the story and asked director Krishna Vamsi to direct it.
“He feels that Krishna Vamsi is the only director currently who could do justice to this kind of village backdrop story. There is also a political touch to it,” says a source.
Shooting may commence in April once everything has been finalised by March.
The actor is currently busy promoting Lepakshi Utsavam at Hindupur, his own constituency. Krishna Vamsi, meanwhile, is on the job, preparing the script. Once he is ready with it, they will announce the details of the film.
After a long time, Balakrishna will be wearing the traditional pancha in the film. They are even considering naming the film Rythu.
