Unscheduled breaks and Rajamouli’s perfectionism have pushed the date of the film forward Helmed by S.S. Rajamouli, Ram Charan and Jr NTR-starrer RRR may not release as expected in 2020. Although the film’s shooting is underway, big breaks during the course of filming mean that it may only hit the screens in 2021.
“Rajamouli is a perfectionist and always goes through the shots at the end of each day. If he does not like it, he will do a reshoot, but will never ever compromise. In this film too, he wants to reshoot some scenes and there is a lot left to do, so the film may not release in 2020 as planned,” says a source.
The second female lead has also not yet been confirmed and both the lead actors took unscheduled breaks to recover from their injuries. “With all these breaks, the director asked the producer not to talk about the release date till he comes to a suitable conclusion,” adds the source.
