Jr NTR and Ram Charan are ranked among the highest paid actors (around Rs 12 crores) in the Telugu film industry. Now with their forthcoming film, the two stars are looking at an even bigger pay packet. Both the actors will be seen together in one of the biggest multi-starrers that will be directed by S.S. Rajamouli. The breezy entertainer will be produced by D.V.V. Danayya.
The budget for the film has already raised many eyebrows, with an estimated cost of more than Rs 300 crores. The film will be released in several languages.
While both Charan and Jr NTR have committed more than 200 working days to the film, the latest buzz is that the remuneration of both the actors has become a huge point of discussion.
A source says, “Both the actors have agreed to take a sizeable percent of the profits. They have been given a token advance and the profit percentage is said to be equal for both. While the numbers have been kept guarded, it is believed that both the actors may pocket around Rs 30 cores.”
Even the film’s biggest brand ambassador, Rajamouli, is said to be promised a significant profit percentage after a token advance.
“Rajamouli is an international name, and both Charan and Jr NTR have star power. So the numbers will be staggering by the end of the project, given the kind of pre-release business the film does,” adds the source.
