Dulquer Salmaan seems to be making a conscious effort to do more straight Telugu films after the super success of Mahanati and Sita Ramam. The actor, who has released his Malayalam films dubbed in Telugu, has now signed another straight Telugu movie. The yet-to-be-titled film directed by Venky Atluri features Meenakshi Chaudhary as the female lead.
Commenting on roping in Dulquer, the film’s producer Naga Vamsi says, “The story is about an ordinary individual overcoming life’s challenges, and how he transforms into an extraordinary person. You need star heroes of Dulquer’s calibre to headline the story and tell it convincingly.”
The producer reveals that Dulquer would be shown in a new light in the film. “He has done several roles in his illustrious career, yet the beauty is that he always comes up with a new version every time he takes up a role,” he comments. The film commenced principal shooting recently.
