The Ghost promises to be a riveting action drama

Nagarjuna and director Praveen Sattaru exude confidence over the film

"Threats aren't working. Kill them," says a negative character in the trailer of The Ghost. Agent Vikram, who works as an Interpol agent, has to save his sister and niece from the desperadoes. This potential emotional and action roller-coaster forms the premise of director Praveen Sattaru's The Ghost.

The entire underworld is chasing them and it falls upon the hero, played an ever-so-young Nagarjuna to rise to the occasion. Given Praveen Sattaru's style, we assume the director has modelled Vikram as someone who is not unrealistically heroic. The stunts, composed by the Kecha-Dhilip Subbarayan duo, follow this characterization. They don't look over-the-top, although they are cinematic in many ways.

Vikram's journey with his sister (Gul Panag) and niece (Anikha Surendran) runs alongside his professional collaboration with Priya (Sonal Chauhan), his Interpol colleague. Towards the end of the trailer, the action gets racy and it may well be how it is in the film as well.

Also starring Manish Chaudhari, Ravi Varma, Shrikanth Iyyangar, and Bilal Hossein, the film's music is by Bharatt - Saurabh duo, while BGM is by Mark k Robin. The cinematography is by Mukesh G, art direction is by Brahma Kadali, and editing is by Dharmendra Kakarala.

'The Ghost' releases in theatres on October 5.
