Pawan Kalyan urges Kollywood not to ban Telugu actors

Superstar Pawan Kalyan requested Tamil Film Industry bigwigs to drop the plan of banning Telugu actors from acting in Tamil films. “It is quite an unfortunate decision since actors have no language or regional barriers and actors belong to one community, so I request them to discard the idea,” said Pawan at the pre-release event of his upcoming film ‘Bro’. “See Tami director Samuthrakani has directed this film “Bro’, while Neeta Lulla from Mumbai has designed costumes in this film, while Telugu speaking producer A M Rathnam has made blockbusters like ‘Indian’ in Kollywood.

So every industry has to embrace talent with open hands instead of restricting them since cinema has turned global. Telugu film ‘RRR’ impressed audiences the world over, I wish more ‘RRR’s from the Tamil film industry too. If Kollwood bigwigs are worried about providing livelihood to artists, then they should devise a different plan rather than depriving chances for other language actors,” he points out.

He thanked producers Vishwaprasad and Vivek Kuchibotla for making his job easier for ‘Bro’. “I could finish my work in 21 days due to their perfect arrangements since sets were readied at varied places. I could finish this film comfortably amidst my political campaign due to their planning,” he informs. He had his co-star and nephew Sai Dharam Tej with him besides his other nephews Varun Tej and Vaishnav Tej. “I would be seen in 80% of the film, despite the number of days being less. This film will take you through a gamut of emotions,” he adds.

On a lighter note, he claimed that he can’t dance like Jr NTR and also praised Prabhas for his hard work. He says that his sister-in-law Surekha(Chiranjeevi’s wife) should be blamed for making him an actor. “It was her mistake,” he quips amidst the cheers of his fans.
