A daunting task ahead
As if the recent loss of his younger brother Bharath wasn’t enough to deal with, actor Ravi Teja is now facing fresh trouble, having received a notice from the state’s Excise Department in connection with the drugs case. While he’s running from pillar to post to complete his under-shoot film Raja the Great, he has had to deal with the personal tragedy. Now, this case is only adding to his cup of woes. The actor will be soon grilled by the SIT authorities.
Meanwhile, Puri Jagannadh, who is under pressure to complete his film Paisaa Vasool (starring Balakrishna), was recently called in for questioning by the SIT team in connection with the case. He was grilled for almost 10 hours and had to bear the emotional trauma. “I know Puri Jagannadh since a long time and he’s a gem of a guy. I don’t know about these allegations, but I can tell you it is very difficult for anybody to get back to work amidst such allegations. But I am confident Puri will come out clean and deliver a blockbuster,” says producer Bandla Ganesh, who worked with Puri for Baadshah and Temper.
Subba Raju, who was also recently questioned, feels it’s the hype surrounding the issue that’s more pressurising than anything else. “Definitely, it is a time of crisis and naturally, it’s difficult for us to come back to work. The police department knows the case and they are doing their job, we are happy to support them. But, answering every single call and clarifying to everyone is really frustrating and depressing,” he shares, adding, “I am a fitness freak and resort to yoga and other workout regimen to handle of stress.”
Days after facing the questioning from the SIT, cinematographer Shyam K. Naidu had to get back to work. “Yes, I am discussing the script work for my next film,” says Shyam, who remained tight-lipped about the drugs case.
