Almost a week after we reported that Dhanush would team up with Sekhar Kammula for a trilingual film, we have more exciting news. We have reliable information that Dhanush will team up with another Telugu director, Venky Atluri of Tholi Prema fame. Producer Suryadevara Nagavamsi has been planning to make a trilingual film for a long time.
Given Dhanush’s popularity in the South and in Bollywood, Nagavamsi feels a trilingual film (Telugu, Tamil and Hindi) would do justice to the script.
Apparently Dhanush saw a potential box-office winner when the makers approached him with the script. Dhanush was forthcoming also because the plotline apparently is broad and has a wider appeal.
According to a source, “Nagavamsi is already working on the Bollywood remake of Ala Vaikuntapuram Lo, and co-producing the Jersey remake, which stars Shahid Kapoor. Dhanush’s film will only add to his kitty of Hindi projects.”
The script work is underway and the film may go on floors in December.
