Actress Mehreen, who recently landed directly from the US to the sets of her bilingual film NOTA in Chennai, requested the film’s director Anand Shankar to give her a day off to attend the music launch of her Telugu film Pantham in Vijayawada.
Since there weren’t any return flights available to Chennai for the shoot the next day, the actress decided to travel by train. However, on boarding the train along with her mother and staff, she saw drunken men sitting in her seat. The actress got very uncomfortable and got down from the train.
A source shares, “It was a very uncomfortable situation and the actress called Pantham director Chakravarthy, who later arranged a car for her travel to Chennai. Also, her fans accompanied her in another car for the entire 9-hour journey to Chennai.”
On hearing of the incident, director Anand praised Mehreen’s professionalism and dedication but advised her to not take such risks again....
