Ravi Kishore suffers a loss of Rs 2 crore

The film's producer Sravanthi Ravi Kishore has expressed a few doubts, but the director doesn't want to listen to him.

Ram Pothineni’s upcoming film with director Praveen Sattaru has been shelved after just a few days of shooting. The reason being cited is an exorbitant budget, but sources reveal that differences between the producer and the director are to blame.

“Apart from the budget, they are having differences regarding the script. The film’s producer Sravanthi Ravi Kishore has expressed a few doubts, but the director doesn’t want to listen to him. The resultant ego issues have led to the project being shelved,” a source reveals.

This means that the producer has effectively lost the money spent on pre-production work.

“The producer has lost nearly Rs 2 crore, but he is happy that the differences cropped up at the start of the film,” the source adds.

Had problems arisen towards the end of the film, he wouldn’t have been able to shelve it.
