Nandini Rai, who was last seen in Mosagallaku Mosagadu in Telugu, is making a comeback of sorts. The actress has now signed a film starring Allari Naresh and Sunil and to be directed by Bheemaneni Srinivas Rao.
Talking about the project, she says, “It’s always exciting to sign a film in my native language. When Bheemaneni sir narrated the story, I liked the script and believed that it would be the right film to stage a comeback to Tollywood.”
Nandini will play a village belle in the romantic comedy. “I have played and mastered serious roles thus far, but playing a rustic character is a first for me. I believe in exploring various roles and my character in this film will bring my comic skills to the fore. Since Sunil and Allari Naresh are aces with their comic timing, I am looking forward to working with them.”
The Maaya star says working in other industries has widened her thought process. “I have done films in Tamil and Kannada and it gave me a new perspective towards acting. I learnt how to prepare for challenging roles, it was liberating,” she says.
