Rajinikanth calls Amitabh Bachchan his mentor

Amitabh is working with south stars these days and he has worked with Megastar Chiranjeevi

After sharing screen space with legendary Amitabh Bachchan in Hindi films like ‘Geraftar’ and ‘Hum,’ superstar Rajinikanth is joining hands with ‘Deewar’ star for his upcoming Tamil film after 33 years and he is quite elated about it.

Posting on X, Rajinikanth wrote, "After 33 years, I am working again with my mentor, the phenomenon, Shri Amitabh Bachchan in the upcoming Lyca’s "Thalaivar 170" directed by T.J Gnanavel. My heart is thumping with joy! (sic)."

After tasting massive success with ‘Jailer’, superstar Rajinikanth began shooting for his upcoming film, 'Thalaivar 170' a few weeks ago. On October 25, he took to his official X (formerly Twitter) page, to share an evergreen photo with his 'mentor' Amitabh Bachchan. In his caption, Thalaivar wrote that he has reunited with his mentor after 33 years. 'Thalaivar 170' is being helmed by TJ Gnanavel of 'Jai Bhim' fame.

Interestingly, Amitabh is working with south stars these days and he has worked with Megastar Chiranjeevi in ‘Sye Raa Narasimhareddy’ and both felt happy to work together.

Despite his 80-plus age, the charm and popularity of 'Zanjeer' actor seems to be still in tact and south stars are racing to share screen space with him.
