Prakash Raj put in his place!

The senior actor, who is infamous for throwing tantrums, got a befitting reply from a senior technician recently.

Senior actor Prakash Raj, who is known for throwing tantrums on film sets, is back in the news. While there have been instances in the past where producers have complained against him at the Telugu Film Chamber office and directors have removed him from their films, his Wednesday outburst turned out differently.

According to a source, the actor tried to show his attitude during the shooting of Balakrishna’s upcoming film Ruler when a senior cameraman reportedly shut him down.

The source reveals that director K.S. Ravi Kumar was shooting an important scene involving many junior artistes along with Prakash Raj and Bhumika. While everything was in position for the shot, Bhumika asked the director a doubt, which enraged the actor. “Prakash Raj shouted that he should be called for the scene only after everything is fixed,” says the source. That’s when cameraperson Ramprasad, known to be soft-spoken and a very good technician apparently told off the actor by saying, “This is not your house. You have to be patient.”

An angry Prakash Raj walked out and left many fearing that he would walk out of the shoot itself. “But after a few minutes, he came back and completed the scene with a big smile on his face,” adds the source.

Interestingly, till a few years back, Prakash Raj would terrorise film units with his temper. “But now, he’s not getting many roles and everyone has started to neglect him because of his tantrums,” says the source. Meanwhile, Balakrishna, who was also present on the sets, did not say anything, but seems to have silently supported Ramprasad.

This is the first time in Prakash Raj’'s career that a person from the industry gave him a fitting reply. “When an actor is in demand, he lords over everyone and all the filmmakers not only obey him but also bear his torture. But now, many filmmakers are not considering him because of his behaviour. It’s time for the actor to introspect,” adds the source.
