After ruling the silver screen for nearly three decades, senior and popular comedian Brahmanandam will now be seen on television. Of late, the once top comedian of Telugu cinema has failed to elicit laughs on the big screen, and is now testing TV waters.
Apparently, a popular Telugu television channel has roped him in as a judge for a big show titled The Great Telugu Laughter Challenge, along the lines of The Great Indian Laughter Challenge.
Interestingly, before entering into films, Brahmanandam had started his career in television when Doordarshan was the only channel. However, once he jumped into cinema, he never looked back and did more than 1,000 films. Recently however, many of his films bombed at the box-office and the actor appears to have lost his charm.
It remains to be seen how the veteran comedian takes to his new role.
