What a rare sight! Prabhas sounded the clapboard on Saturday in Hyderabad for the first scene to be shot with Amitabh Bachchan for his new film! The set was buzzing with excitement as soon as the Big B arrived at the private studio on the city’s outskirts.
Apparently, it was the film’s producer Ashwini Dutt’s idea to ask Prabhas to sound the clapboard. “Since today (Saturday) is Guru Purnima, I thought it would be great if our film’s hero Prabhas sounded the clapboard for the first scene on Amitabh Bachchan garu who is the like Guru of Indian cinema. When I shared this thought with Prabhas, he was excited and did the honours,” shares Ashwini Dutt.
He says he’s extremely happy that work on the film has taken off after the second wave of the pandemic. Massive sets are in place for this Sci-Fi thriller, tentatively titled Project K. Ashwini says the sets reflect the lavishness of the project. “Since this film is catering to a global audience, we are leaving no stone unturned when it comes to constructing sets,” he says, adding that he had two homams done for the film’s murhurat.
“I am very spiritual and for this film, I got Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji to conduct one homam at his ashram in Mysuru and the other homam was at Dattatreya Swamy temple in Pitapuram, he reveals, adding that Sachchidananda Swami had personally blessed the unit by sending the Poorna Kumbham.
