Komalee Prasad, who received brownie points for her performance in Napoleon, will next be seen in a Dil Raju production. The film is a campus-based love story directed by Sree Harsha Konuganti.

The actress, who’s already shot one schedule for her part, plays the role of a medico in the film. Interestingly, Komalee was a practising dentist before entering films.

“I was nostalgic when asked to wear the doctor’s coat on the first day of the shoot. The last time I remember wearing that attire was when I practised dentistry in Mumbai in 2016,” explains Komalee.

The multifaceted actress is also a theatre actor and a classical dancer. “My flair for art drove me into films. But even as I satiated my passion for the arts, I tried to stay updated about the happenings in the medical world. For instance, I’d be reading medicine books even while I was on the set,” she says.

Komalee recently received a lot of admiration for her performance in the recent OTT release, Loser. Grateful as she is for the appreciation, Komalee can’t help but remember how close she was to not taking up the role.

“I was initially sceptical about making my digital debut, fearing that I might be labelled as an OTT actress. But I was hooked by the script and the characterisation of my role. And with such a resounding success, I am glad that I took the chance. It seems like I made the right move,” she said.
