After his debut film Padesave, Karthik Raju signed Kousalya Krishnamurthy and Operation Gold Fish. The promising actor has picked up another interesting revenge drama to be directed by debutant Surya Ashwin.
“I will be seen as a cricketer; it’s a revenge sports drama, and cricket forms a central element of the plot,” explains Karthik. According to him, the screenplay of the film will hog the limelight. “With interesting twists and turns, the plotline has the potential to be a box-office winner,” elaborates Karthik.
He also reveals that he has signed another film under director Rajinikanth Yenne, a former protégé of director Krish.
“The film is set in a rustic backdrop and is a complete drama,” shares Karthik. But clearly, Karthik has not forgotten his roots. Quick to thank filmmakers Bheemaneni Srinivas Rao and K.S. Rama Rao for casting him in Kousalya Krishnamurthy, he says, “My performance in the film has been appreciated, as a result of which I have signed two films.”
As for his present vocation, Karthik is simply waiting to begin shooting for his films post the lockdown.
