Following her impressive performances in her previous Telugu films, actress Avantika Mishra has now signed her next movie in Telugu, directed by debutant Shammir. The Maaya star will be playing the female lead role opposite Tharun Bhascker in this film, which is going to be produced under Vijay Deverakonda’s banner.

Charmed by her appeal, the filmmakers decided to rope in the actress after seeing her in a commercial. She was called in for a look test before she was given the role. The film is said to have an unconventional and quirky plotline, which was all the more reason for Avantika to take up the role. Besides, she seems happy about her role in the movie.
A source informed, “It is a very young team. Since her role is that of an aspiring actress, she believes that there is a lot of spunk to her role. Indeed, a portrayal of strength and elegance combined.” The film's shooting started only recently after the team conducted a few reading sessions as part of the workshop. Meanwhile, Avantika has a couple of Tamil films lined up for release — one is Nenjamellam Kadhal, and the other one's an untitled project.
