Sundeep Kishan’s upcoming bilingual film, Maanagaram in Tamil and Nagaram in Telugu was recently shown to a select audience in Chennai recently and has been received well. And it is learnt that the film, that releases on March 10, is a dark thriller, and not a regular song and dance kind of movie.
“Many people thought Sundeep Kishan and Regina Cassandra are the lead pair in this film, but it is not true. The film has four stories and all of them connect in the end,” says the source. Directed by debutant Lokesh Kanakaraj, the film is set in Chennai. “This is alternative cinema and everyone plays an important role in it. The story shows four young people from different walks of life and how they all connect in the end,” adds the source.
For actor Sundeep Kishan, the film could be a turning point as he has got a completely performance oriented role.
