Allu Arjun shares mushy memories
Allu Arjun was recently the chief guest at the music launch of Lovers Day, the dubbed version of a Malayalam film starring ‘wink girl’ Priya Prakash Varrier. Explaining his reasons for attending the event, the actor said, “Firstly, I am a proud South Indian whose films have also been successful in Malayalam. Priya Varrier created an Internet sensation with her video, so I wanted to encourage her film. The other reason is that producer Vinod Reddy stood up for me during my crunch time.”
The actor added that although his earlier film Naa Peru Surya was a disaster, Vinod still bought the rights of the film in one particular area. “Vinod came to my rescue after that flop, so I decided to be there for him whenever I can,” revealed Allu Arjun.
With Lovers Day scheduled to release on February 14, the actor wished the film all success and recalled his own Valentine’s Day memories. “When I turned 14, someone told me that February 14 is Lovers Day. From then onwards, I am celebrating February 14 even more than my birthday! Now I am wondering what gift I can give to my wife this Valentine’s Day,” he said with a smile.
Allu Arjun also imitated the viral winking scene on stage while actress Priya Varrier followed suit.
