Rajamouli showers praise on father
Vijayendra Prasad, father of director S.S. Rajamouli, is directing the film Srivalli and the audio was released on Monday. The whole family, including Rajamouli, M.M. Keeravani and others attended the event, with Rajamouli talking about how his father made him proud.
“When we were in Chennai, nearly 14 of our family members survived off my father and Pedananna (Keeravani’s father), who worked as ghost writers. We were all waiting to see our father’s name on a film’s title cards and finally it appeared for Janaki Ramudu,” revealed Rajamouli.
He also shared a story about a tsunami that his father once narrated to him. “My father narrated this story to me 25 years back but I didn’t understand it then. When India was hit by the tsunami (in 2006), I recollected my it. His thoughts are very futuristic and I feel proud of him,” said Rajamouli.
The top director also praised his father for delivering two hit films — Baahubali and Bajrangi Bhaijaan in just a couple of weeks. “As a director, I want to compete with him. He always finds mistakes in my films and I haven’t seen his film, but I know the story. I wish the team and my father a great success,” he said.
