Shalini Pandey is fast-wrapping up the shooting of Kalyan Ram-starrer 118. And the actress has signed her next film, opposite Vijay Antony. Titled Jwala, the film, directed by Naveen M., was officially launched in Hyderabad on Saturday.
After the super success of Arjun Reddy, Shalini is cautious about picking roles. The actress, who also graced the film’s muhurat, says, “It’s good to be back in Hyderabad. When I heard the script, I could instantly connect with it. I have just entered the South industry and I am lucky to be able to get such roles that are high on performance. Jwala is a breezy entertainer that’ll entertain the audience to the core. I am excited to work and looking forward to the shooting.”
Ask her about her role in the film, and Shalini is tight-lipped. She states, “I don’t think I am supposed to talk about it right now, but I can tell you, the role will be in complete contrast to what I played in Arjun Reddy.”
The film, which will be mostly shot in Europe, will go on the floors soon.
