As the first look of Prabhas’ trilingual film Saaho was released on his birthday on Monday, the actors fans went berserk. While it has been over four years since the actor was seen in a contemporary avatar on screen, everyone was visibly chuffed. However, soon enough, many netizens began pointing out how the poster was a rip-off of the two Blade Runner movie posters.
Interestingly, while Prabhas’ pose is strikingly similar to that of Ryan Gosling in Blade Runner 2049, the background colour seems similar to that of another poster of the 1980 Blade Runner film.
Within minutes of the unveiling, social media was filled with posters comparing Saaho’s look to the Hollywood flicks’ posters. While many fans came to the rescue of the makers saying it was a mere coincidence, the naysayers were in no mood to heed the comments!
Meanwhile, online birthday wishes to the actor led to the hashtag, #HBDDarlingPrabhas trending worldwide.
