Baahubali sequel was easy to shoot: Rajamouli
The big budget historical drama, Baahubali: The Beginning, had released in 2015 to a huge ovation at the box-office, not just domestically, but also internationally. The makers are now standing by their intention of raising the bar further with Baahubali: The Conclusion, slated to release in April next year.
Despite the pressures to make the sequel a bigger film, the movie’s director, S.S. Rajmouli says that making the second part was in fact easier than the first. He attributes this ease to the first Baahubali movie being appreciated by the people, and their knowledge about the basic characters and story of the film.
“Making the second part was much easier than the first one,” said Rajamouli, on the sidelines of the Jio MAMI festival. “For the first part, we had confidence, but we were not sure how people would receive it. We had confidence in the subject. When the film released, and did well, it made it easy for us to shoot, as people knew the characters and the basic story. But shooting for the actions sequences was intense.”
Baahubali: The Conclusion will star the lead characters of the first movie, Prabhas and Rana Daggubati, alongside Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia and Sathyaraj, among others.
