Rana Daggubati turns singer
Rana Daggubati’s upcoming film Virata Parvam has been in the news for several reasons. Apart from the plotline, the action drama hogged the limelight for Rana’s character of a Naxalite, and the training he received for his part. And now, we learn that for the first time the actor will be turning singer in the film.
The lyrics of the song encapsulate a progressive ideology with revolutionary notes. Apparently, it was the director Venu Udugula’s idea to have Baahubali actor croon the number.
“I felt Rana’s base voice has a lot of depth. It is very stirring. There’s a situation in a film where there is a short, thought-provoking song. I believed that if someone like Rana could lend his voice, the number would be taken to the next level,” explains the director.
The song will be recorded next week under composer Suresh Bobbili. “It’s a blend of song and poetry,” says the director. Venu is excited about the way the film is shaping up. “The action scenes will be a major highlight, he reveals.
