Celebrities on social media have many followers, but how many use their fan following for a good cause? Actress Sanjjanaa recently showed the way by using her Instagram and Facebook accounts to not only motivate people but to also send nearly 300 volunteers to Coorg in Karnataka.
“Along with Kerala, Coorg was also badly affected by the floods. So I decided to help out and used social media to announce that I was planning to go to Coorg. That prompted nearly 300 volunteers to come on their own to Coorg,” says Sanjjanaa, adding, “After I reached Coorg, I gave my number and location to the volunteers, who met me and distributed these essentials to the people,” explains Sanjjanaa, who added that many people needed medicines urgently.
After spending Tuesday in Coorg, the actress returned to Hyderabad on Wednesday to shoot for her serial Swarna Khadgam.
