After winning accolades for her special song in Allu Arjun starrer Race Gurram, Kyra Dutt is now making her acting debut in Paisa Vasool. The Bengali bombshell is glad that she’ll been seen in a performance oriented role in her Telugu debut directed by Puri Jagannadh. “Puri saw my profile and asked me to come to Hyderabad to audition. I was given a few Telugu lines to perform; he was impressed with my performance and roped me in,” says the 26-year-old.
Talking about her role in the upcoming action drama, she says, “I have played roles that revolve around dance, music, glamour, etc., but I will be making my debut in Telugu with a dhamaka (bang) and in an action-packed role, which will be an integral part of the narrative. I am really fortunate to make my debut in a Puri Jagannadh’s film.”
Referring to her co-star, Balakrishna, as a humble person, she explains, “Balakrishna sir did give me tips on pausing during my dialogue delivery (since I am new to the language) and on when to stress on the expressions. He’s such a big star, but is always rooted; working with him was a fabulous experience.”
