I don't like to hurt anyone, says Sai Pallavi

Actress Sai Pallavi finally responds to co-star Naga Shaurya's criticism of her on the sets of their film Kanam.

Although it’s been a while since Naga Shaurya criticised his Kanam co-actor Sai Pallavi for her unprofessional behaviour on the sets, the actress, who was in town to promote the film, finally spoke to the media about the issue.

“Naga Shaurya is a silent person and doesn’t talk to anyone on the sets. But when he faces the camera, he is a different person altogether. As an actor, he is very mature,” she said in praise of her co-star.

Describing herself as an actor, she said, “I always go crazy over every scene and have to discuss it with the director many times over. Even Sekhar Kammula who directed me in Fidaa knows this.” She added, “Since Naga Shaurya would keep silent, I thought that he wanted his space and some time alone. I am completely the opposite. When I work, I enjoy myself a lot and feel happy. After watching his videos, I wondered if I had hurt him, although I don’t like to hurt anyone.”

Narrating a specific incident, Sai Pallavi said, “One day, during the dubbing of the film, the director, a few members and I wanted to go for dinner. I wanted Shaurya to join, but realised that he didn’t have a phone. His manager said that he was busy with his film Chalo, and I couldn’t talk to him.”

Explaining her actions, the actress added, “I called my director Vijay sir and asked him if I had hurt Shaurya, but he asked me not to think about it. Perhaps unintentionally, I have hurt him. I respect him as an actor. I still feel that I didn’t spend much time with him, so I don’t know where the problem lies.”
