After Pellichoopulu and Shatamanam Bhavati did well in overseas, small films are now in big demand. Many distributors in the US are vying for small films and now, Vaisakham too has bagged a good price for the distribution rights overseas.
“Even in the Telugu states, small films are doing good business, and that’s why, Vaisakham has been offered a good deal,” says a source.
Directed by B. Jaya, the film has completed its shoot and post-production is underway. On occasion of Sivaratri, the director spoke about her film which starts with a scene at a Shiva temple.
Harish and Avantika play the lead roles in the film which is bankrolled by her husband B.A. Raju. “Recently, we saw the first copy of the film and the visuals, especially those from the shoot in Kazakhstan, have come out beautifully,” says Jaya.
