Ravi Tejas Eagle to move out of Sankranthi race?

With more films seeking theatres during Sankranti race, the much-hyped "Eagle" starring Ravi Teja is set to be deferred to another date in January, 2024. "Eagle will be released after Pongal holidays since it may not get more number of theatres," says a source and adds, "Ravi Teja is a big star and needs a good number of theatres to draw good openings and then garner good collections to recover it's money,"

With Mahesh Babu's film "Guntur Kaaram" leading the pack by bagging more number of theatres, followed by Venkatesh's Saindhav and Nagarjuna 's Naa Saami Ranga and both movies set to corner remaining theatres, Ravi Teja has to take a back seat. "Actually, producers are holding discussions for last few days to space out releases during Sankranti and avoid clashes. Third round of discussion would urge producers to think about changing dates since it would be beneficial for films as well as industry. With many stars in the fray, few have to be pragmatic and decide accordingly, rather than being stubborn,' he points out..

With Ravi Teja previous movies like Ravanasura and Tiger Nageshwara Rao failing to make an impact, even producer of Eagle would prefer vacant theatres to draw openings than indulging in a clash at ticket windows in the two Telugu states. "Ravi Teja film is touted be an action adventure and triggered some hype, so producer could move out of Sankranthi race and release on a comfortable date and make money, "he concludes..
