Known for choosing interesting roles and for her choice of films, Adah Sharma will be next seen in an anthology film. The anthology consists of five adorable stories, written and directed by newcomer Deepti Ghanta, who also happens to be actor Nani’s sister.
“It’s a rom-com with a twist,” Adah reveals, adding that she has wrapped up the shooting. “It’s like a one-night story where romance will be an integral part of the episode. I was instantly hooked to the concept of when the director narrated it, and I signed up for it because it’s something that’s never been done in Telugu.”
Adah further reveals that she has great respect for actors who experiment with scripts and considers Nani as an actor who loves to push boundaries. “I’ve seen all of Nani’s films and the choices of scripts are amazing, so when he decided to bankroll this project, I knew the concept must be intriguing. And when I heard the narration, it turned out that my thinking was right,” she adds. “Because that’s when knowledge transfer happens… when you are part of such innovative films.”
In another of her projects, Aisa Waisa Pyar, Adah is interestingly paired opposite a dog. But the actress found the experience of working with animals surreal. “I am an animal lover and get along well with animals and interact nicely; in fact, I think it’s easier to shoot with animals than with a few human beings,” she quips.
Then speaking about her role in Aisa Waisa Pyar, she reveals that she plays a bitch in it.
“And I play it for a reason. When I was offered the story, I was excited hearing that my co-star is a dog, one that’s abandoned. We’ve seen a love story between a guy and a girl, but this film interestingly chronicles the bonding between a dog and a bitch, though the emotions captured in the film are the same,” she points out, adding that the film is a rom-com with a difference. And then with a chuckle, she concludes, “The leading ‘man’ is a dog, so you can just imagine how entertaining the content will be.”
