Allu Sirish, the younger brother of Allu Arjun, who recently got a huge hit with the Telugu film, Srirastu Subhamastu, is all set to make his Malayalam film debut in a big way. The actor will now share screen space with none other than Malayalam superstar Mohanlal.
Directed by popular director, Major Ravi, the shooting is scheduled to start very soon. Titled, 1971 Beyond Borders, this seems to be a big ticket entry for Sirish. Interestingly, Arjun is already very popular as most of his Telugu films have been dubbed in Malayalam.
Says Sirish, “I have a full length supporting role alongside Mohanlal. I play a tank commander in the film. I was keen on making a debut in Malayalam films, and this seemed to be the perfect launch. What I loved about the film is that it’s not jingoistic or anti Pakistan. Going by the mood of the nation, this is the kind of film to look out for.”
