Sai Pallavi Breaks Silence on Wedding Photograph

Sai Pallavi, along with subsequent reports, clarified that the picture was taken during the pooja of her new film on the sets in Chennai.

Sai Pallavi has put an end to the speculations regarding a 'secret wedding' picture that had circulated on the internet for over a day. The actress clarified that the image is actually from the mahurat pooja (inaugural ceremony) of her new film and had been cropped and misused intentionally for malicious purposes.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter) on Friday, Sai Pallavi posted a response to address the rumors. Her statement read, "Honestly, I don’t care for rumors, but when it involves friends who are family, I have to speak up. An image from my film’s pooja ceremony was intentionally cropped and circulated with paid bots & disgusting intentions. When I have pleasant announcements to share on my work front, it’s disheartening to have to explain for all these jobless doings. To cause discomfort like this is purely vile!”

The rumors started when a picture surfaced online showing Sai Pallavi in a traditional outfit, wearing a white kurta and a golden-brown dupatta, standing alongside a man in a pink shirt and blue jeans. Both were adorned with red garlands and appeared to be smiling at the camera.

However, Sai Pallavi, along with subsequent reports, clarified that the picture was taken during the mahurat pooja of her new film on the sets in Chennai. The man beside her is the film's director, Rajkumar Periyasamy, who can be seen holding the clapboard in the original mahurat picture. Other images from the event showed them alongside the lead actor of the film, SK21, Sivakarthikeyan, and veteran actor Kamal Haasan, who most likely attended as the special guest at the mahurat ceremony.

SK21 is set against a war backdrop, with a schedule of the film already completed in Kashmir. Sai Pallavi is renowned for her work in the Tamil, Malayalam, and Telugu film industries, with her last appearance in the critically acclaimed film "Gargi" last year.
