Biopic is the flavour of the season. The latest to the list of biopic films on actors, sportspersons and living legends, is one on popular singer Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao. Though the playback singer passed away four decades ago, he still lives on in the hearts of people.
Ch. Rama Rao, who did enormous research on Ghantasala and even published a book titled Ghantasala Patasala, is going to direct this film. Rama Rao, who has penned the script, says, “Everyone knows Ghantasala as a popular singer. But there is so much to tell about his life. He is a very good human being and struggled a lot to reach heights. The makers plan to portray the highs and lows of his life.”
The makers have completed the shooting without much publicity and are planning to release it in December.
Krishna Chaitanya, the young and upcoming singer, portrays Ghantasala in this biopic and his wife Mrudula plays Ghantasala’s wife.
