A few days ago, producer Sunil Narang had announced that he’s producing a film with Naga Chaitanya and it is directed by Sekhar Kammula. If you recall, Sunil was making a film with newcomers with Sekhar directing it, and it was 50 per cent complete.
However, according to a source, Sunil now wants to shelve the project and use the same story with Naga Chaitanya in it. “Sunil has spent Rs 5 crore on the new project but he has now decided to shelve it and approached Naga Chaitanya instead,” says the source. Incidentally, Chay had also wanted to work with Kammula from long time, so he’s grabbed the opportunity to work with the talented director.
As he gets into directing the same story with Naga Chaitanya in it, Sekhar would be changing a few scenes here and there to suit Chaitanya’s body language. They plan to start the shooting in September with Sankranti release in 2020.
Naga shared his excitement about the project on his Twitter page. “Someone I’ve been wanting to work with from the time I started my career. Sekar Kammula.and it’s finally happening ! Another beautiful love story true in every way produced by Sunil Narang..shoot starts September 2019 !! Times are good..blessed..thank you for all the support #nc20 (sic),” tweeted Naga Chaitanya.
