Popular actor R. Narayana Murthy has always made films on social problems and causes. His latest film Annadatha Sukheebava highlights the reasons behind the farmers’ suicides and their problems.
Now, the actor who is re-releasing the film on July 7 recently organised a platinum disc function as part of the promotions. When the film was earlier released on May 18, there were no viwers. Blaming it on the heat, he said, “I released the film during peak summer when even the theatres were not air conditioned. So now, I am planning to release it on July 7.” he announced.
Top music director M.M. Keeravani was the chief guest. Poets Gaddar, Goreti Venkanna, Andesri, Jayaraj and Suddala Ashok Tej were also present. Speaking on the occasion, Keeravani told to Narayana Murthy to join politics in order to serve the people.
“Narayana Murthy is a very simple person and always uses his money for the benefit of society. He has enormous knowledge about politics, economics and many other issues. Moreoever, he’s singlr, and always thinks about films. I appeal to him to join politics and serve the people, who I’m sure will root for him,” said Keeravani, adding, “Politicians have power and if Murthy gets power in his hands, he can do a lot for the society. I am confident that people will watch his film and respond positively to it.”
However, Narayana Murthy said he would not leave films! “I’m still fascinated with films and want to continue in this field.”
