Actor Rana Daggubati is quite excited about making a foray into television as a host with the upcoming show No.1 Yaari. “I had gone with an open mind on the first day of the shoot, but soon realised that this wasn’t going to be easy at all! I am used to a film set, where we take more time to shoot, but here, for every episode, we used to sit for hours together to get things perfectly done,” he says, applauding the patience of the show’s team in getting the best out of him.
The concept of the show, which will have Tollywood stars making an appearance and having a fun chat with Rana, seems to have made him comfortable. “It’s what we all do regularly. The only difference is that we have to do it on TV now!” he jokes.
When quizzed about why he even decided to make an entry into television, he responds, “There’s a divide between cine goers and actors and the curiosity to know about their matinee idols has always been there. This show gives me an opportunity to bridge that gap.” So, would he continue to appear on TV post this show too? “Well, that depends on how people receive this show!” he says.
