Telugu actor J V Ramana Murthy passes away at 83
J V Ramana Murthy was undergoing treatment for heart related ailments.
Veteran Telugu actor J V Ramana Murthy passed away on Wednesday at the age of 83.
According to reports, the actor passed away at a hospital in Hyderabad, where he was undergoing treatment for heart related ailments. Murthy started his career by acting in plays until he got his Tollywood break in1957 with the film ‘MLA’.
The actor, who was mainly featured as a fatherly figure or a temple priest went on to acquire strong character roles after starring in several supporting roles in his early days. Murthy acted in over 100 films including Maro Charitra, Aakali Rajyam, Batasaari, Gorintaku, Shubalekha and Ananda Bhairavi.
He is best remembered for playing Girisam in the cult play, Kanyasulkam.
