While most celebrities are engaged in activities like cooking, cleaning, dancing etc. during the lockdown period, model-turned-actress Shruti Reddy of Marina Puratchi fame has chosen a new path.

An engineering graduate, Shruti has been a motivational speaker from her college days and has given speeches on mental health at several forums through her initiative Soul Success Of Ur Life.

As public morale is down due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Shruti started a YouTube channel titled Shruti Reddy and has been posting motivational videos regularly.

Speaking to DC, Shruti says, “I am into regular yoga to rejuvenate myself. You know, for me, even cooking or cleaning was like meditation. However, I wanted to make use of the lockdown time more meaningfully. Hence I got the idea of conducting online classes on mental health and other motivating life sessions. The reception was amazing. I even treated boy studying in Standard 8 who was in depression, through online sittings.”

So, what are her tips for students who are taking board exams under these unusual circumstances? Says Shruti, “It is a stressful time, not only for students but also for their families. My advice is that both parties should not stress themselves.

I do agree board exams are very important. But, stay calm, put in your best efforts, and don’t worry about the results.” On the work front, she has a film with R. Durai and a movie with Rajkumar.
